Stripped

GOB demonstrates the basic principle of urban cycling rain gear.

This is pretty much how I feel about my new rain gear git up. Rainlegs + gaiters = one dry ride. All hail, Rainlegs.

Rainlegs are like buttless chaps for cyclists

Combine Rainlegs with these MEC Gaiters, topped off with a Cannondale convertible rain jacket and now you can get your "wet" on.

It's funny but I ran in a crazy downpour this week. I was drenched when I got home but I kept thinking that a year ago I would not have gone out in that weather. I think the rainy Spring here in Toronto has sort of pushed me into new territory. I had no choice but to ride in the rain, so I did. I put off too many runs or swims (ironically) because I didn't want to go out in inclement weather. No longer. I'm not made of sugar and if you have to wait for the sun, you might be waiting for a long time.

The only downside is that my running shoes may take days to dry and pretty much smell like an inner circle of hell.
